Statutory Eligibility Criteria

Before enrolling in the PRISHA 2026 Batch, candidates must ensure they fulfill the following essential guidelines set by UGC and respective State Public Service Commissions:

A. Academic Qualifications

  • Post-Graduation: Master’s degree (M.Sc.) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject domain (Botany / Zoology / Allied Life Sciences) from a recognized university.

    • Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (reducing the requirement to 50%) is granted to SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwD candidates as per state government norms.

  • Mandatory Eligibility Check: The candidate must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET / JRF) or the corresponding State Eligibility Test (SET / SLET).

    • Exemption: Candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016 standards) are exempted from the mandatory NET/SET requirement.

  • Result Awaited (Final Year) Category: Students appearing in the final semester or final year of their M.Sc. can securely apply. However, proof of acquiring the final degree must be submitted before the official interview date.

B. Age Criteria

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years.

  • Maximum Age: 40 Years (Standard state-wise upper age relaxations apply: 5 years for reserved category males/General category females, and 10 years for reserved category females).
